The Old Taylor Distillery, built by E. H. Taylor, Jr., in about 1887.
Taylor was a prominent leader in the Kentucky whiskey industry, a long-time mayor of Frankfort, a state representative, and senator.
He built Old Taylor to be a showplace and surrounded the castle themed main building with pergolas, reflecting pools, stone bridges, and gazebos.
A large masonry rickhouse that stood across the road. It has been torn down to salvage the brick and rick timbers. A shame, it was a beautiful building.
The remains of one of a pair of very long rickhouses. My car odometer measured them at almost 1/10 mile long!
